The Lake Pohenegamook Monster

Lake Pohenegamook is two-hundred and eighty miles northeast of Montreal, Canada.  The monster is described as dragon-like with four legs and a long tail. The description matches that of a nothosaur.

A retired priest, Abe Leopold Plante had and encounter with the beast some fifty years ago, when sightings of the creature were quite frequent. He remembers seeing something that resembled a giant iguana with a head similar to that of a cows’ head. Again – a good description of a sea-going reptile.
