Lake Payette is one of Idaho’s lakes that is reputed to have monsters. It’s length is seven miles and flows into “a mountain river.” Sighting first began in 1930’s and increased in the 1940’s.      On July 2nd, Thomas L. Rogers, “the editor of a respectable Boise firm” reported to have the creature. He said “The serpent was about 50 feet long…His head, which resembles that of a snub-nosed crocodile, was 8 inches above the water.”
